This Privacy Policy explains how Vitalum ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use the Vitalum website (vitalum.io) and the Vitalum mobile app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
Information we collect
We keep data collection to a minimum. When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name and email address — used to create your account and sign you in. If you sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email from Google.
- Your password — only if you sign up with email and password. It is stored in encrypted (hashed) form and we can never read it.
That's all we store. We do not store your chat messages, your health questions, your location, your contacts, or any files on your device.
Information we do not store
- AI chat messages are sent securely only to generate a reply and are not saved on our servers. Your conversation stays in the app temporarily and is cleared from the device cache.
How we use your information
We use your name and email only to:
- create and secure your account and sign you in;
- provide the app's features, including the AI health companion;
- send important account and service messages, such as email verification; and
- respond to your support requests.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
How we share information
We only share information where necessary to run the Service:
- Google — if you choose to sign in with Google (Google Privacy Policy).
- Our service providers — trusted hosting and AI processing providers that help us operate the app, bound to use your data only to provide their service to us.
- Legal reasons — if required by law, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or to protect our users and the Service.
Cookies & analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for session management, remembering your preferences, security, and to measure website usage (for example, through analytics tools such as Google Analytics). You can control or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the website may not work properly without them. The mobile app does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
International data transfers
Vitalum operates globally, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer, and we take reasonable steps to keep your data protected wherever it is handled.
Data security
All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Passwords are hashed, and your login token is kept in your device's secure storage. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your name and email only while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@vitalum.io from your account email address, and we will remove it (chat data is never stored, so nothing extra remains).
Children's privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
